
The Nevada Patriot Fund provides financial support to families of Nevada military personnel who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan combat zones. The Nevada Patriot Fund is supported by private donors and corporations.
There is no application process required to receive a gift from the fund. Families of fallen patriots with dependents receive $12,000; families without dependents receive $6,000.
The fund is administered by the Community Foundation of Western Nevada, a tax exempt public charity created by and for Nevadans. The Community Foundation of Western Nevada charges the fund a pass-through investment fee as well as an administration fee. The administration fee is 1.5% of invested assets. The fund’s Board of Directors and Staff receive no compensation of any kind.
